Cairns Aquarium is centrally located building that takes you through the water animals in the tropical northern Queensland. You don't need more than 2 hours to see the venue and it is ideal Sunday outing for the children. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Absolutely love the Cairns Aquarium! Caters for all ages, the staff are friendly and informative. Enjoyed reading all of the information and facts on Far North Queensland. Will definitely be back..

If you've never been to an aquarium before, it's worth checking out. If you have been to an aquarium in a bigger city, I'd give it a miss. It's pretty average

At first, it seemed small and we were rethinking our decision to visit, but the quality of the exhibits, along with the professionalism and knowledge of the staff, made for a wonderful experience. The massive tank alone was well worth the visit, and hours could have been spent just watching the animals go about their lives. A must do for anyone interested in nature, and the conservation of our reef.

Cairns aquarium is a little different from others in that it tells a story of Far North Queensland. It shows the journey of rainwater through freshwater environments all the way to the sea. Worth a visit.

We spent a good three hours enjoying the exhibits in the aquarium. The staff were great, friendly and informative and they certainly knew what they were talking about. One of, if not the best aquarium I’ve visited.

Staff was very kind. A lot of natures to see. My partner and I thought it didn't take a long time to look around the aquarium. However, there are many things to watch and enjoy for over 3 hours. We were really satisfied with the journey.

Quick stroll through the aquarium with hubby and teenage son. Great experience seeing fresh water, rainforest and ocean species of fish. Took us one hour to move through. Huge aquarium which you walk through at the end before exiting through the shop. Check opening hours before heading off for the experience. On the day we went arrived at 2pm and didn’t realise it closed at 3pm. However, we still felt like we had the full experience. Just missed all the expert commentary at the various stations throughout.
