There's a new kid on the Surry Hills block sporting cleverly crafted drinks and eclectic decor but without the Surry Hills pretention. 'Impossible', we hear you say. Well somehow Jeremy Blackmore and Alex Dowd, two amigos from the Shady Pines clan have managed to do just that. The surprisingly large den-like locale is full of communal tables and a nice long bar where cute waiters churn out Tequila specials and exotic bottled brews, which are accompanied by free bags of spiced popcorn. Delicious. The moody lighting and neon animal lights definitely add to the fun of the place and the Spanish music sits well with one's inner Latino, which always seems to surface after a shot of tequila or two.
