The vineyard is high in the upper reaches of the Wimmera basin where grazing country meets rugged forest. Sparse soil over shattered sandstone; this is the Pyrenees Ranges where great shiraz is born.
Get out and breathe the fresh air with beautiful walks to enchanted valleys, or challenging mountain bike tracks. Finish the day by tasting Benjamin's carefully handmade wines.
In winter try a mulled wine made with Smoking Bishop syrup. You must taste the very special sparkling shiraz.
Stay the night in the gorgeous cottage at Wimmera Hills Winery. You will want to stop a while on the sun-filled veranda and muse over the large mob of kangaroos which come down from the hills to graze in the paddocks around the cottage.
